Get to know the Person behind the Lens

Sheila Ward is an emerging photographer based in the beautiful Bruce Peninsula in southern Ontario. She is rediscovering the area she has called home forever, now seeing it through the viewfinder of her camera. Sheila holds family photos in the highest regard, considering them some of the most treasured possessions.

Although Sheila has always loved photography, it was only in 2019 that she began to take her passion more seriously. Mostly self-taught, she started taking online classes in 2022 after realizing she could capture stunning images of the Milky Way and the Northern Lights without leaving her farm. Her photography business focuses on landscape, nightscape, and wildlife photography, and she is now expanding into portraits as well. Photographing her granddaughter has provided valuable experience in setting up children's portraits.

Additionally, Sheila captures the annual "Purple Valley Fun Day" rodeo events, selling digital copies of these action packed images.
